It looks like way-older-than-the-Empire-State-Building Sci-Fi legend Ray Bradbury is getting another TV series adapting his works, as Variety is reporting that he’s signed a deal with White Oak Films to develop a six-part miniseries. Bradbury will choose and adapt the stories on “The Bradbury Chronicles,” as well as executive produce. We’ve got to say – it’s amazing the 89-year-old writer’s head can support that many hats without crumbling to dust like a defective mummy.
You’d think Bradbury would’ve blown his adapting wad with his last show, “The Ray Bradbury Theater,”which reached 65 episodes and gave paychecks to actors like Shelley Duvall, Lucy Lawless and William Shatner. However, since it aired on HBO from 1985 to 1986 and on USA from 1989 to 1992, they may just be trying to reach an audience larger than the 50 people who saw that one.
