BoingBoing found the first video below of “magician/psychologist” [He pulled xanax out of my ear, hooray!] Richard Wiseman‘s Top 10 Science Stunts for Christmas Parties. Most of these involve fire. As well all party tricks should.
I’ve also added a couple cool videos of The Briggs-Rauscher Oscillating Color Change Reaction. This is only a party trick if you happen to carry potassium iodate, sulfuric acid, malonic acid, manganese sulfate monohydrate, vitex starch, hydrogen peroxide, distilled water, glassware, a stirring bar, and a stirring plate to parties with you. And I totally do. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have the sudden urge to cover my body with rollerblade wheels and dive down the basement stairs. Extreeeeeeeme!

Anti-clockwise sounds so much more sinister than counter-clockwise.
Lets agree to call it centrifugal Jacktion.
I can do that same Briggs-Rauscher thing with my urine over the course of a given holiday with the family. Not impressed.
