As one of the most popular, yet oddly underexploited, 80′s toy properties, fans have long been clamoring for anything officially Thundercats. But, it seems Thundercats are screwed.
Collider is reporting that, according to unnamed sources, Warner Brothers is no longer making the long-awaited CGI Thundercats movie. Which honestly, might be a blessing in disguise for ‘Cats fans, as they will be spared the raping of their childhood memories that G.I. Joe and Transformers fans have had to endure over the last couple years. (Need we remind anyone about the giant wrecking ball testicles Michael Bay gave Devastator?)
Back in 2007, Variety reported that Jerry O’Flaherty would direct it – while he hadn’t directed a film before, he was art director on the videogames Gears of War, Unreal Tournament 3 and Command and Conquer. And of course, art-directing a video game is exactly the same as translating a classic 80′s property into multi-million dollar CGI film. (Hell, “art director” has “director” right there in the title!)
So, maybe this is the for the best – we might just have missed out on a huge batch of Thundercrap.

We also would have been subjected to Jar Jar 2.0 with the retarded midget cat thing.
A. iri-I’ll just pretend you didn’t say no crazy shit about Snarf.

(hope that is the right one, since I can’t listen at work)
It’s worth it to hear Liono say, “Shut up you FUCK.”
Snarf!
Dorm, don’t forget about part 2 of the South Park “Imagination Land” episode a couple years ago where Butters said pretty much the same thing to Snarf.
I thought the swinging junk on Devastator was funny. Specially since my g/f was the one that saw it first. In the middle of the theater she goes “Look at the size of the balls on that one!”
