Larry FineIn the latest WTF casting news to come out of Hollywood, the Farrelly Brothers are in talks with Sean Penn to play the middle stooge in their new 3 Stooges biopic. Apparently Benicio Del Toro is slated to Moe.

Now, we have no problem with getting a Three Stooges movie. Heck, we’d love a trilogy of Stooges movies to make sure we get enough Stooges action, but who really thinks Sean Penn has the acting chops to play one of the greatest actors of all time…LARRY F’IN FINE! Sure he’s won an Oscar for playing retards and killers and retarded killers, but that doesn’t mean that he’ll be any good at having Del Toro poke him in the eye or throwing a pie at a wealthy dowager.

And yeah, it’s a biopic and not a comedy film, but he’s going to have to pretend to be funny in it at some point. And the only time Sean Penn has ever been funny was when he thought he could stay married to Madonna.
