The Witch and Wizard novel by Gabrielle Charbonnet (oh, and James Patterson) is being adapted as a five-part comic series by IDW Publishing, with hopes of an eventual movie deal.  IDW is also adapting an idea Patterson developed for a never-made video game, as well as The Murder of King Tut written by Martin Dugard (oh, and James Patterson).  Patterson knows movie studios are now jumping all over the rights to comic books like the last coke-covered escort at the party.  And he certainly knows how to make money.  But don’t just take it from me; listen to these other satisfied readers:

“Wow! When I mentioned the dastardly practice of bestselling authors ‘extending the brand’ by thinking up new ideas for books and letting other authors write them, I didn’t realize what an improvement this would be in the case of Mr. Sleaze Fiction himself, James Patterson.” — Pat Holt

“Terrible writer” — Stephen King

“The absolute pits, the lowest common denominator of cynical, scuzzy, assembly-line writing” — Patrick Anderson

“He literally rapes puppies.” — Will Shakespeare

Well, okay, I made the last one up.  You’re safe for now, Doberwitch.
