LOST GETS MEGO-STYLE ACTION FIGURES
02.04.10
Megos, the old 8-inch-sized doll-like figures from the seventies, have seen a huge comeback lately. Heck, you can even order new DC figures from Mattycollector.com to replace the ones you ripped the clothes off back when you were a kid. (I’m not sure I even ever had the costume to my Star Trek Gorn figure.) And leading the Mego bandwagon is Bif Bang Pow and EMCE Toys, who’ve partnered up on these figures of Lost‘s Hurley, Locke and bug-eyed Ben Linus. And while they haven’t released photos of them yet, the pair will be releasing Mego-style figures for Dexter, The Big Lebowski, Twilight Zone, Flash Gordon and Scott Ian. So, here’s hoping for for an 8-inch jumpsuited Jesus Quintana.
I gotta admit, I haven’t watched Lost since season 3 as I got tired of spending hours and hours debating it with co-workers, but I’m a huge fan of Megos. (I co-write a comic strip about them in my incredibly nerdy spare time.) So, I’ll probably be picking these up, if only to combine Hurley and Locke into the fattest Mego Kingpin you’ve ever seen.

Good, I needed an eight-inch Evangeline Lilly to go with my other… eight inch.
