rewalkexoskeleton

Being paraplegic just got 69% cooler. ARGO Medical Technologies has made the ReWalk robotic exoskeleton, allowing paraplegics to stand up, sit down, walk slowly, and climb stairs.  It also allows non-paraplegics to stomp around making choosh choosh whirr sounds. The website doesn’t say anything about being able to descent stairs, however, so now you know how to defeat these when they become sentient.lolcatteries

The suit is controlled via upper-body movements using the crutches and also responds to small changes in center of gravity.  The ReWalk is still awaiting FDA approval (expected later this year).  The video below shows people using the exoskeleton.  Now we just need Hugh Jackman to train them to box.
