ZOMBIE FLICKS FINALLY GO CGI
02.05.10
Just when you think that you’ve seen every variation of zombie film out there (funny, romantic, philosophical…), something new comes along. And that something new is A.D., a CGI film directed by Ben Hibon, who directed the animated segments on the video game Killer 7 and the animated short film Codehunters.
It’s hard to tell what the tone of the flick’s going to be, since the teaser’s just your basic “fighting zombies with axes” scenario. But I’m doubting it’s going to be an uplifting Up-like experience, which suits me just fine. (After all, one of the greatest things you can do with CGI is crowd scenes and nothing makes me happier than a HUGE swarm of zombies ready to nosh on some brains.)
Oh, and Zombie Info has an interview with the creative team behind the film.

Robert Zmeckic should make a mo-cap zombie flick.
Everyone has dead eyes in those movies anyway.
Or however you spell his name
I’ve been successful fighting zombies with Axe. The smell kills them quick.
Now just throw a live-action Will Smith & his dog in there, and we’re good to go.
Resident Evil: degeneration. They have gone CGI already.
This is the best looking video game I’ve ever seen!
