I’ve always kind of sucked at Legos. From the time I was a little kid, all I’ve ever really been able to successfully do with them was misplace the vital pieces and then also I’d stick ‘em up my butt. Luckily for all of us, YouTube user horseattack is nothing like me and somehow devised a way to build an actual functioning printer out of them. Using a felt-tipped marker and custom coded software, the LEGO printer can actually be accessed via computer and printed to from a desktop. Trusty genius, horseattack, remains tight-lipped regarding any info on building the device, but we’re assured that everything was assembled from scratch.
I think everyone’s amazement is best summed up by one of the commenters on horseattack’s YouTube page:

Well spoken, euzeermide. A chocolate cake iPad is definitely the next evolutionary step after the LEGO printer. Check the video after the jump to decide for yourself:
Thanks to engadget for the tip.

This isn’t that impressive. I built a sybian out of a horse saddle, a massage chair and a travel case for a toothbrush.
Granted, it’s probably not as “cool” as this but your Moms fucking love it.
Some say it was a waste of his time. Some say it was an incredible waste of his time.
What’s next? SKYNET…OH FUCK SOMEBODY HELP!!!
*buddda buddda buddda…ratatratata….kerboom!*
Is it odd that I keep pushing my date back for the robot apocalypse like the fundies do for the Rapture, but I still consider them the batshit crazy ones?
I have a homemade Lincoln Log printer that uses a quill and ink to print.
