HeroComplex interviewed Trent Reznor about Year Zero, the apocalyptic sci-fi concept album he released in 2007 as a response to the Bush era (while trying not to make a stereotypical protest album).  To be honest, I own Year Zero and had no idea what the hell it was supposed to be about till I read that description at HeroComplex.  Yay apathy.

More than two years ago, Trent Reznor dropped the news that he was in early talks with HBO to adapt Year Zero—which had already been turned into an alternate reality game—and now it seems like things are moving along at a pretty decent pace. BBC Worldwide Productions has come aboard as the studio, and Carnivale‘s Daniel Knauf is writing the pilot. [Blastr]

Whoa.  Apocalyptic sci-fi with Trent Reznor and HBO and the guy who wrote 24 episodes of Carnivàle?  This is going to be dark as hell.
