If you’ve been curious how Tom Hardy will take on the role of giant Batspine-snapper Bane for The Dark Knight Rises, the answer is “by seriously bulking up.” A lucky blogger snapped the above picture of a shaved-head, muscle-bound Hardy and the results are pretty impressive (at least compared to our flabby Gamma Squad bodies). As the blogger wrote:

Oh my god! He DOES have a shaved head! And he looks HUGE again.

Now granted he’s not as ridiculously top-heavy and huge as Bane was in some of the comics or in Batman: Arkham Asylum, but we’re not even sure the human body could work get that big without snapping a couple of ankles. Besides, it’s doubtful that realistic Bat-director Christopher Nolan would want him that ridiculously huge. Now the only question is… how ripped will Bane’s teddy bear be?
