I hate to point this out, because I understand your point, but Star Wars isn’t the future. It’s a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away. So . . . yeah. I’ll be quiet now.
Yeah, you’ll note I name drop that quote in like, the 2nd paragraph of the article.
I’ve never taken the whole “long ago in a galaxy far away” thing to mean, it literally takes place two galaxies over a long time ago, but that it simply takes place in an alternate universe. One that’s obviously a lot more advanced an futuristic than ours.
Nathan, please learn to organize. If you say “5 things…” and give us a slideshow, throw some bolding in there. I skimmed this and still dont know what the ’5 things…’ are.
While Star Wars might not be OUR future it is most definitely a futuristic society. Funny thing about SW lasers is also that the bolts are actually flying slower than the projectiles fired from our primitive gunpowder weapons. I guess light speed doesn’t apply there.
Concerning Padme, not only did she have some supposedly super advanced medical bot at her side but an actual freaking Jedi, you know, those guys who can use the force and have actively studied the art of healing for about 20,000 years in their temple. But hey, nothing he can do.
