Now you’re also a free Wi-Fi factory, little buddy.
Ad agency DDB and internet provider Terra have joined forces to rid the parks of Mexico City of the scourge that is dog poo. They’ve set up Terra Poo Wi-Fi, a type of trash bin and Wi-Fi hotspot which weighs dog poop (or whatever else you throw in it, since it’s based on the honor system) and then dispenses minutes of free Wi-Fi for the surrounding area. The larger the poo, the more minutes you accrue. *closes rhyming dictionary*
Walyou reports Terra doesn’t mind if people try to game the system by putting other trash in the bins. The purpose of the initiative is to keep the parks clean, after all. You can see a silly promotion for the machines below. It’s in Spanish, but let’s be real: dogs pooping is a universal language.

Stephanie Fox knows border collies are a breed requiring quite a bit of attention and effort to care for, but she’s outdone herself in her border collie rescue work when she adopted Roosevelt, a border collie with deformed front legs. You may be surprised to hear the dog is not named after Franklin Roosevelt, who also had mobility problems, but after Theodore Roosevelt, because both he and the dog enjoy shooting elephants in the face. Some of this paragraph is true.
To help Roosevelt get around, Fox worked with Eddie’s Wheels to make a custom doggie wheelchair. Now he gets around awesomely, as you can see in the video below and the pictures taken by Robert F. Bukaty. As Fox tells the Bangor Daily News, “People think he should have been put down because they think he’s suffering, but he wakes up happy every day. If you had a child with a disability you’d try to enrich them, give them opportunities. So why not do the same with a dog?”
